Asset ManagementFrom Reality Capture to Intelligent Asset Management
Utility operators are under increasing pressure to maintain aging assets while improving reliability, safety, and cost efficiency. Multi-modal datasets provide the foundation for AI-assisted asset inventories, condition assessments, vegetation encroachment detection, and predictive maintenance.
Key Takeaways
- Reality capture is the foundation of intelligent asset management.
- Multi-modal data can create AI-ready asset inventories that help utilities identify, classify, and track assets more efficiently and accurately.
- AI-assisted condition assessment can improve asset visibility by helping utilities identify deterioration, defects, and potential risks earlier.
- Predictive maintenance can shift asset management from reactive to proactive.
- Intelligent asset management can improve reliability and safety.
- Integrated datasets can help utilities do more with existing resources, supporting more efficient inspections, maintenance planning, and field operations.
- The path from reality capture to intelligent asset management is about turning data into decisions.
Why Attend?
The future of utility infrastructure management starts with creating a complete, accurate, and AI-ready representation of the physical world. Aerial imagery, LiDAR, and mobile mapping each provide valuable information—but the real value comes from combining them. The opportunity before us: transform fragmented data into one intelligent representation of the world utilities manage.
