Reality CaptureBuilding AI-Ready Digital Twins with Multi-modal Reality Capture
Why multi-modal reality capture is becoming the utility industry standard. The utility network is more complex than a single dataset — no one sensor, platform or flight can describe every pole, conductor, vault, valve and encroachment across a service territory. This session shows how aerial imagery, LiDAR and mobile mapping combine into a single, AI-ready digital twin of the utility network.
Key Takeaways
- No single sensor tells the whole story.
- Multi-modal capture creates a more complete digital twin.
- AI requires structured, accurate, integrated geospatial data.
- Enterprise-scale reality capture can become a strategic utility data asset—not simply a mapping project.
Why Attend?
The future of utility infrastructure management starts with creating a complete, accurate, and AI-ready representation of the physical world. Aerial imagery, LiDAR, and mobile mapping each provide valuable information—but the real value comes from combining them. The opportunity before us: transform fragmented data into one intelligent representation of the world utilities manage.
